Dreamtime Escape Plan, created in 2005 and shown in Madrid, Spain, was created a short time after the giant Tsunami that wreaked havok on parts of Asia. Disaster is an everyday occurence in this flooded world, the characters take pills, sleep a lot, and plan elaborate escapes from the quagmires imploding around them. Using narrative painting and symbolism, this show explores the power of the subconcious to deal with the horrors of the modern world and depicts a sense of helplessness, like in those dreams where your feet are stuck in cement
and you can't run.
